The Roadford Lake Café and Venue offers great conferencing facilities with everything you would want and expect from a conference venue, all in the most amazing lakeside position. With a spacious function room and lots of outdoor space, there’s plenty of room for big team events and breathing space for breakouts between sessions. Equally important for those between-session breaks is ensuring there is a good supply of coffee and biscuits for the hardworking delegates; the Café can supply wonderful food and drinks to keep everyone refreshed and happy!

The right setting – space, comfort, food and drinks, atmosphere, fresh air and views are all important to get the most out of a conference – and this venue provides all of that!

Socialise and relax together

And after the work of the day is finished your teams can enjoy a gentle walk on the lakeside trails, immersing themselves in nature, before returning to our lodges to relax and unwind in luxury and immersing themselves in the hot tub! There are plenty of options for eating and drinking, out with taxis available to take you to and from a restaurant or pub for the evening.

Leadership and Team building

Whether you want to develop your people and teams through trying new water sports or activities, or through specific team-building activities, the Activity Centre at Roadford Lake can organise a tailored programme packed full of fun and developmental activities for your organisation.

Water sports can be a fun and relaxing activity – as well as challenge people, by trying something new and moving them safely out of their comfort zone. Similarly, land-based activities such as archery, climbing and high ropes enhance communication and collaboration, at the same time, giving people a space to enjoy working with each other and learn something new about themselves and their teammates. This can all be done in the safe space of the Activity Centre with qualified instructors leading the activities.

For more specific leadership and team building, the Activity Centre can organise special activities that are designed to develop leadership skills, teamwork and team performance – try raft building to put those skills to the test! Further afield are tree surfing opportunities at Tamar Trails, riding at Cholwell stables, and Hangloose for the ultimate adrenaline activity!

After a day of team building, your people will definitely appreciate being able to return to the lodges and unwind in comfort and slip into the hot tub!
